Carl Vinson VAMC is seeking a RN for Wound Care. The Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively with all levels of healthcare professionals. The individual will identify, reduce, and prevent hospital acquired pressure injury by identifying risks, implementing effective pressure injury prevention quality initiatives, and control measures based on current standards and/or recommendations. The Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively with all levels of healthcare professionals. Duties listed below are not all: Care and treatment for pressure injury and acute and/or chronic wounds from other etiologies will be required. Works with direct care staff and provides wound care to patients/residents throughout the Community Living Center (CLC) and facility via referrals. Responsible for providing safe, prompt, and skillful nursing care for patients/residents requiring wound treatment and/or procedures. Nursing care Includes: 1) assessment and treatment utilizing documented evidence-based practices of current modalities and standards of care 2) coordination, prioritization and management of care during all phases of treatment 3) interpretation of signs, symptoms, and diagnostic monitoring with reporting, documentation, and Implementation of ordered interventions during the treatment 4) Evaluation and response to treatment and/or procedures. Interventions are provided with the goal of achieving quality care by Improving clinical outcomes, increasing continuity of care and minimizing health care costs.
