M Health Fairview is looking for a Pillar Lead for the Margin Growth Pillar. The Pillar Lead is responsible for the overall success of the Pillars financial and non-financial performance. They will serve as the P&L Leader for their Pillar and will have a number of financial and operationalmetrics that they are responsible for meeting. They will do this by managing the Pillars existing pipeline of projects, holding project owners accountable for maintaining and accelerating momentum on those projects, resolving barriers and roadblocks on behalf of their project owners, serving as the first order of escalation when issues with implementation arise.
In addition, they will be responsible for leading their Pillar stakeholders to identify additional sources of value; this could include ways to accelerate existing projects, adding new projects to the pipeline, and more. Finally, they will be responsible for vetting and managing project ideation intake, implementation planning, and financial forecasting for their Pillar.
As part of this, they will provide direction to the Pillar financial analyst andserve as the eyes and ears for the Pillar Sponsor. They will also liaisewith the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and other Pillar Leads on behalf of their Pillar andactivelyengagewith key stakeholdersto advance projects that support the Pillar targets. They will play a leadership role in communicating EPMO processes and priorities, and coordinate with functional leaders to help secure resources for Pillar projects. Finally, they will provide direction to their Pillar Consultants and Associate Consultants to help with project-specific support needs.
This Pillar Lead position is for the EPMOs Margin Growth Pillar. The portfolio of projects within this pillar is focused on service line growth initiatives, accessin the acute, ambulatory, and post-acute settings, inpatient flow, and capacity planning. The Pillar Lead will be responsible for speaking to obstacles that exist in their portfolio and assisting project owners in working around them or escalating to EPMO leadership when needed. A successful Pillar Lead will have both financial and operational acumen and experience that they can apply to managing their portfolio and P&L.
Pillar and content leadership
Influences and leads their Pillar teams by coaching, developing, and motivating project owns. They are role model the mindsets and behavior shifts of the EPMO-led transformation and directs people to engage on the highest priority topics
Engages relevant stakeholders by being the champion for their respective Pillar and working across Fairview to build buy-in and secure support for the projects in their Pillar
Responsible for value capture and rigorous pipeline management
Finds new opportunities and improves projects by encouraging the team to meet deadlines and capture the full value

Bachelors degree in work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university
Proven management experience with direct or indirect reports and demonstrated ability to execute and achieve results
Formal or informal leadership experience with cross-functional responsibilities
Ability to critically review and improve projects with a strategic lens pushing to accelerate dates, capture the total value, and remove barriers
Excellent communication skills and analytical skills
Ability to coach, develop and motivate others
Ability to execute on short intervals
Relevant understanding or background/experience in topics areas; nonclinical process improvements, including revenue cycle management, supply chain and operations, and shared services
Operational leadership with significant understanding (and past experience) of successfully managing a cost center or budget
Strong expertise in workforce management and staffing utilization
Masters degree in work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university
10-15 years experience of proven achievement of strategic priorities and owning a P&L for a portfolio or business unit OR proven leadership of an operating function (including management of a significant cost/budget)
External consulting experience with a national or regional firm
Extensive experience and proven track record working in a highly matrixed organization
Extensive experience working on projects that represent transformational changes touching a majority of departments in a complex health care system
