In your role as UCLA Health IT's Storage and Backup Engineer, you will contribute to the design of UCLA's electronic health record and enterprise systems by participating in formal design and reviews. In addition, you will deploy and support the SAN and Backup infrastructure.
3+ years' expertise in SAN deployment and management in an Enterprise Infrastructure environment
Extensive track record implementing and managing large complex Enterprise Storage Solutions
Expert level knowledge and experience with any two of the following Storage Solutions: IBM V7000, IBM SVC, NetAPP, HP 3PAR, EMC, Isilon, and/or Pure Storage
Expert knowledge of Raid Levels (i.e., understanding the benefits between Raid levels)
Experience deploying and or managing Large Fiber Networks with strong understanding of Data Center to Data Center connectivity
Extensive knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure, SAAS, and PAAS
Knowledge in deploying Azure resources (compute, storage, and policy creation), and AWS resources (compute, storage, and policy creation)
Expert level understanding and experience with Enterprise Monitoring, including Architect and Deploy enterprise monitoring (i.e., API integration for alerts, strong understanding of alert and escalation designs, dashboard design experience, and Big Data analysis)
Extensive experience with any of the following: Brocade DCX Data Center Fiber Cores, Brocade Network Advisor, Brocade Edge Switches, and/or CISCO Fiber Switches
Expert knowledge of managing Enterprise Class Backup Solutions with an emphasis in Disaster Recovery Readiness
High understanding of any of the following: Net Backup Software, VEEAM Backup Software, TSM Backup, and/or EMC Legato Backup Software
Knowledge of the following Operating Systems (OS) functionalities with emphasis on Storage connectivity and OS format of disk: Window Server 2012, 2016, 2019; Linux (Red Hat, SuSe); AIX; and/or VMware
