The Director of Plant Services is responsible for leading, directing, planning, coordinating and managing the operations and staff associated with clinical support operations that include: Biomedical Engineering, Construction Services, Emergency Management, Engineering, Environmental Services, Grounds, Hazardous Materials, Linen Services, Nutrition Services, Property Management (including off site properties owned and/or operated by GHCH), Security, Space Planning and Work Place Safety. Individual serves the organization as the Hospital's Safety Officer and Emergency Management Coordinator. Responsible for non-clinical compliance with accrediting agencies and licensing bodies including CMS, DNV, DOH, DSHS, EPA, OSHA. Contributes to the financial solvency of the organization through the creation and management of budgets, personnel and cost for efficient use of organizational funds. Must possess excellent verbal and written communications with Administration, Department Managers, Co-workers and direct reports. Work as team player to support the mission of Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant discipline desired. Master's degree preferred. Five to ten years of related experience in an Engineering/Maintenance function will be considered in lieu of a degree on a case by case basis. Experience with construction practices in a hospital and outpatient environment. Preference will be given for prior experience working in a hospital environment.
