The San Francisco VA Health Care System is recruiting for a Psychology Program Manager, Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) assigned to the Director's Office. Director, DEI is a Psychologist, key leader, and change agent responsible for assembling the foundational components of a successful DEI effort by contributing to a strategic plan and developing standard operating procedures to integrate them into business practices within the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS). Lead the transformation of a central DEI vision into change initiatives and organization wide communication. Assess the cultural dynamics of the current state of the organization, create a strategic course, identify evaluation/metrics and be results driven. Participate in setting annual diversity and inclusion priorities and strategic goals. Help to coordinate and oversee existing DEI efforts. Co-chair the Executive DEI council with the Health System Director and provide advice to the VISN DEI subcommittee. Provide leadership/support for SFVA committees focused on DEI, including but not limited to the Health Equity Council. Collaborate with DEI-engaged leaders/volunteers throughout the Health Care System to create resources on equity, health disparities, anti-racism, bias, microaggressions, etc. Lead transformational efforts to address system-level concerns utilizing strong ability to communicate, understand and consider the opinions and doubts of others. Serve as liaison with EEO, AFGE/NFEE, Workplace Violence Coordinator, and other groups to better understand systems issues contributing to trends in complaints and issues. Create a space that is inclusive for everyone. Master demographic data and trends to provide insights about different groups, and become familiar with Veteran preferences, expectations and priorities. Guide the organization through a cultural transformation to harness the value of DEI as a core competency, driven by what is in our Veterans' best interest. This psychologist reports administratively and programmatically to the Medical Center Director and for discipline areas to the Psychology Director, Mental Health Service.
