Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology, as well as education and research. The Albert Lea Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) has an opening for a Full-Time Staff Physician. CBOCs within the Minneapolis VA Health Care System provide care to Veterans near their home town and serve over 18,000 Veterans throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. The Medical Lead of Albert Lea, MN CBOC will recruit providers, oversee clinical operations, oversight of all physicians, PA's, and NP's, and otherwise administer the clinic in collaboration with Clinic Nurse Manager. Seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care provider with administrative and supervisory experience for a position as Medical Lead is sought for a VA clinic in Albert Lea, Minnesota part of the Minneapolis, MN VA health care system. Our facilities include an updated fully-equipped medical clinic with a lab, x- ray and telemedicine capabilities. Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Rochester and rural areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist. Mental Health services within the clinic help to provide comprehensive care to the Veterans served in this VA Community Clinic. Take time with your patients. Visits for established patients are 30 minutes and for new patients 60 minutes Providers will perform outpatient duties and management of scheduled and unscheduled patients. An assigned panel of patients is determined by the VHA PCMM software package which is specific to their practice and setting. Focus on care include the chronic disease initiative areas of CHF, COPD and DM, mental health collaboration in the PC setting, MOVE program focusing on weight loss, diet and activity as well as health promotion/disease management. No emergency, nights, weekends or after clinic hours calls, services are on site only. Salary is determined by the Physicians Compensation Panel. Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
