| Summary
Under the supervision, and/or direction of the Nursing Director/Clinical Manager, Resource Nurse, or Staff Nurse performs the Monitor Tech functions and Unit Secretary functions. The Monitor Tech is responsible for ensuring a professional atmosphere in the nursing unit. The Monitor Tech demonstrates good public relations skills during interaction with physicians, patients, visitors, and other hospital staff. The Monitor Tech greets, directs, and gives non-professional factual information to patients and personnel from other departments. The Monitor Tech ritical to success of patient and physician satisfaction.

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required licensures/certifications
Current BLS/CPR
Skills and Abilities
- Good oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Bilingual a plus
- Medical terminology
Experience
- Moderately advanced knowledge of ECG rhythms; knowledge of 12 lead ECG preferred.
- Previous experience as a monitor technician preferred
