Summary

The Medical Records Tech performs the analysis function of the health information management record flow, to ensure accurate and prompt discharge processing. The Medical Records Tech interacts with physicians to ensure the prompt completion of the medical record for compliance with hospital and regulatory agency rules.

Qualifications

• One (1) year college, Associate Degree preferred
• Minimum one (1) year clerical experience in a health information management department
• Detail-oriented
• Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office
• Ability to read medical records and physicianâ��s handwriting
• Able to sit at the computer for an extended period of time
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
