• Plans, directs and assigns the work to be completed by the Environmental Services staff and documents completion through daily productivity reports.
• Observes the quality of Environmental Services employees by conducting routine inspections of areas of responsibility.
• Works in conjunction with Infection Control to ensure adequate disinfection practices are implemented and enforced.
• Work with and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure that contracts are effectively managed, best pricing is negotiated, and service and product agreements are upheld.
• Work with Material Management department to purchase equipment as needed and maintain department owned equipment. This includes working with vendors to research different types of equipment to meet the needs of the department.

• High School or GED

Supervises activities of department ensuring proper cleaning protocols are followed so that the highest level of infection prevention is provided for the patient population, visitors, guests and hospital staff. Responsible for managing: work schedules and assuring adequate manpower coverage; cleaning and equipment supplies; linen inventory and customer service. Assists the Director in personnel selection, motivation and discipline.  Responsible for Environmental Services at offsite RMH locations.
