The mission of the Division of Pharmacy Services parallels the ultimate purpose of the health center: "Leadership in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of cancer and associated diseases through excellence, vision, and cost-effectiveness in patient care, outreach programs, research, and education." As a support service of the hospital, our primary existence and function are based on a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care in all phases of development (geriatric, adult, and pediatric), with dedication and concern. The professional staff, as well as the technical/support staff, performs with the highest regard for the patients they serve by continually considering cost-containment once therapeutic effectiveness and safety are established.
The Pharmacy Department at MSK utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical, and dispensing services in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings through a decentralized satellite pharmacy services model.
We are currently seeking a Staff Floater Pharmacist .
You Will:
  • Have a strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn in an empowering environment
  • Have a substantial understanding of computer and pharmacy systems
  • Have a supportive attitude towards others' beliefs and ideas
You Are:
  • Highly motivated and able to work well with others in a demanding environment
  • Able to be culture centered around patient safety and cleanroom sterility
  • Able to make sound judgments even with incomplete information
  • Able to suggest changes to workflow to improve patient care
You Have:
  • PharmD (or equivalent) is required.
  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting and compounding of sterile IV preparations and Omnicell experience is preferred. Candidates must complete MSK aseptic competency testing and required critical point modules.
  • NY State Pharmacist license required.
Hours: Day Shift up to every other weekend on occasion may need to rotate into evenings.
