SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant (MA)-Lead is accountable for basic clerical and technical supportive services within a defined scope of practice under the direction of a licensed physician or surgeon. The incumbent functions as a patient care team member assisting licensed staff in the performance and provision of safe and efficient patient care. The position may assist in coordinating the work schedules of office staff. The position will also assist in maintaining the coding, billing and receivables function for the clinic office.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED as well as Basic Life Support (BLS). Medical Assistant Certification or one (1) year experience in a healthcare environment as a Medical Assistant is required. Minimum six (6) months experience working in a healthcare environment as a Medical Assistant is preferred as well as bilingual skills.
