The RN is responsible for providing safe and cost effective Patient care through the health experience according to the established standards utilizing the nursing process. Within the scope of practice of Registered nursing in the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Services department at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

This position is an internal RN position. Duties include consultation/collaboration with physicians and nurses on complex ostomates, fistulas and continence surgical patients. The RN also serves on hospital committees for the program, including the GI Tumor Board, Pressure Ulcer Prevention Committee and wound care Best Practice Team/Wound Care VAT, and as a team leader on the Press Ganey quarterly pressure injury  prevalence Studies.
