Overview Physical therapist for general practice acute care and outpatient populations including ortho, neuro, and vestibular. Ability to cover at 3 sites: North Branch Clinic, Chisago Clinic, and Wyoming Medical Center. Pediatric experience beneficial as we do have Pediatric therapy at Wyoming site. This casual position includes a primary role working with inpatients on a once per month weekend rotation at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming. Populations served include orthopedic, post-surgical joint replacement, general medical surgical and ICU. Casual weekday inpatient hours may be available for staff coverage or volume. Dependent on candidate skillsets and interest, there is opportunity for casual hours working with adult orthopedic outpatient populations at Wyoming or other regional outpatient clinics. Physical therapists at Fairview Lakes are part of an interdisciplinary team that provides a comprehensive continuum of specialty care in the community. Integrated across the Fairview system, Rehab Services supports professional growth with generous internal continuing education and opportunities to network across locations. In collaboration with patients and families, the Physical Therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within the scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes. To be successful, the Physical Therapist must be able to: Partner with the patient and family while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluation Develop an individualized plan of care through coordination with the patient and family Partner with patients and families to provide skilled intervention Use acceptable medical terminology Follow professional practice standards Complete documentation in a timely manner per department standards Comply with department billing standards Prioritize tasks and patient care for effective time management Understand and follow professional licensure/certification requirements Direct team members and/or supervises students as designated Pursue personal and professional development to support clinical best practice Meet or exceed departmental standards for productivity Identify opportunities for process /quality improvement Participate in and support entity/system initiatives Partner with patient care giver in care/decision making Communicate in a respective manner Ensure a safe, secure environment Individualize plan of care to meet patient needs Modify clinical interventions based on population served Provide patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy Physical Therapy registration/licensure in the state of Minnesota or temporary license in the state of Minnesota Basic Life Support Preferred Qualifications Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy 1-3 years of experience We can recommend jobs specifically for you!
