PRN Day Shift (Monday - Friday)
You Will Be Responsible For:
Responsible for protecting the financial standing of the organization by ensuring accuracy of encounter information (demographic, ordering physician, tests, etc.) (Keep me Safe).
Possess a strong knowledge, understanding, and competency in insurance plans, coverage and benefits, laboratory tests and procedures, CPT codes, Medicare ABN requirements, EMRs, auto forms, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes (Keep me Safe).
Validating insurance(s) is contracted, active, and accurately placed on each encounter, by efficiently using online resources or outgoing calls to insurance carriers, to ensure timely reimbursement (Make it Easy).
Completes work to the level of expectation in a timely and efficient manner (Love Me).
Achieves or exceeds performance and quality assurance standards as identified by leadership (Own it).
Stays current with updates, departmental changes, department/personal goals and metrics as disseminated in department meetings and through all other communication. (Own it).
What You Will Need:
Minimum- high school graduate
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Ability to operate a computer terminal
Ability to type 50 wpm
Reporting to the Manager, this position (FLSA Status: Non-Exempt) is accountable for providing services to patients, referring physicians, and internal customers by answering phones, cheerfully greeting and registering patients, along with performing other duties as assigned. The Receptionist Representative ensures accuracy of services rendered by using professional standards with a strong focus on customer service excellence. The Registration Representative remains self-motivated to ensure performance standards are met/exceeded as well as to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, insurance payors, and new procedures as they evolve. In addition to the expectations listed below, the Registration Representative will support other department/company needs as directed. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
