The Medical Technologist develops, performs, evaluates, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results. The work performed is in a variety of laboratory disciplines, such as chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation. serology, microbiology and hematology. He/She monitors quality control systems and measures; collaborates in the diagnosis and treatment of patients; and provides education for laboratory, other healthcare professionals and the public.
