Seeking Licensed, Practicing OB/GYNs for a Worthy Cause: During these challenging times, people are searching for ways to help others. The nation’s health centers offer quality health care to uninsured, underserved, and vulnerable persons, and they depend on the expertise of medical professionals, such as yourself. The federal government offers a stipend for the worthy work offered by medical professions through various government contracts. Currently, MSCG is seeking OB/GYNs to serve one day/month (if required) on its Medical Claims Review Panel (MCRP). Are you available to offer your time and expertise to support vulnerable populations?
Description and Requirements The MCRP is part of the government’s Federal Tort Claims Act Program (FTCA). The purpose of the MCRP is to have medical expertise and opinion available to program staff on an ongoing basis. The MCRP comprises a multi-specialty team of board-certified practitioners to assist with FTCA medical claims reviews. As a team member (OB/GYN), you will be required to evaluate cases and present findings during the monthly meeting, which is held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Individual reviewers must be available for their assigned time to present. No travel is required for this consulting opportunity.
Minimum five years’ active OB/GYN practice experience
Strong knowledge of current clinical standards of practice
Hold a current state license
Review clinical records
Provide expert opinion on the FTCA malpractice cases that have resulted in payment
Offer solutions for mitigating future clinical risk and employing preventive clinical practices.
