This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to shape the development of a new pediatric residency training program. Nemours Children’s Hospital is seeking a dynamic, motivated, self-driven, graduating pediatric resident to serve as the chief resident for our Pediatric Residency Training Program in Orlando, Florida. The chief resident position would serve for one year from July 2020-June 2021 and oversee the 24 pediatric residents in our program. There will be a high level of emphasis on family centered care, simulation training, research, quality improvement and patient safely. The chief resident would have the opportunity to purse clinical activity during this time in line with their future career endeavors in addition to performing primary administrative duties. Salary is $100,000 with a competitive benefits package. There is no state income tax in Florida.
Requirements for application include:
Must be a current PGY3 pediatric resident or PGY4 medicine pediatrics resident in good standing with an ACGME accredited training program
Will graduate on time in June of 2020 from an ACGME approved residency training program
Must be American Board of Pediatrics eligible at the start of the position
Must have US citizenship or a J-1 Visa. No other visas will be accepted
