Associate is responsible for admitting outpatients, which includes interviewing, obtaining signatures on admitting forms, ensuring insurance requirements are fulfilled and documented on account and securing financial arrangements prior to completing the admission. Associate will provide secretarial support to the department such as typing, filing, answering phones, communicating with hospital staff and the public and scheduling meetings.
Knowledge of Third Party reimbursement preferred
Experience in collections from multiple sources preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Good customer service skills preferred
Ability to operate computer system and other equipment as specified
Two years medical office or hospital business office experience preferred
