SCOPE OF ROLE
We are seeking a Market Lead, Healthcare to help expand the organization’s reach and impact in the healthcare industry, particularly among payers and large-scale health systems. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who brings deep understanding and an extensive professional network in the healthcare industry to serve as the Financial Health Network’s external-facing lead in this area, establishing and growing critical relationships as well as creating new opportunities for engagement.
This is a newly- created role reporting to the Chief Market Development Officer and a member of the Market Development Team. The Market Lead will develop and direct the implementation of the Financial Health Network’s go-to-market strategy for healthcare.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and delivery of our go-to-market strategy for healthcare
Develop and communicate a clear understanding of the Financial Health Network’s offerings and the competitive landscape
Stay up-to-date on market trends relating to healthcare and around the health/wealth connection to inform the go-to-market strategy
Regularly meet with senior leaders at payers, health systems, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs, key business drivers, and level of awareness and/or investment in improving financial health (where the market is and where it should go) and to determine how we can best support them in improving the financial health of their patients, members, and/or customers
Establish and lead a Healthcare Advisory Council to advise on our value proposition and engagement model
Share market intelligence within the organization to inform the Financial Health Network’s offerings and growth projections
Work closely with Marketing & Communications Team to identify the highest value platforms and channels to raise the organization’s profile and to develop messaging and collateral to effectively reach leaders across the healthcare industry; engage with media as needed
Represent the Financial Health Network at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase visibility, develop new relationships, and cultivate opportunities with new audiences
Business Development & Relationship Management
Effectively and authentically convey the Financial Health Network’s value proposition to prospective customers and partners across research, consulting, innovation, and membership
Lead or support the identification, development, and closing of new business opportunities with actors across the healthcare industry
Establish positive, long-term relationships with a range of external stakeholders including key thought leaders and influencers
Manage a portfolio of complex relationships to drive action and investment by the healthcare industry in patient/member/customer financial health
Commitment to Financial Health Network’s mission in advancing financial health for all
15+ years of relevant, progressive experience in market and business development; experience developing go-to-market strategies in a variety of settings
Deep industry/subject-matter knowledge of healthcare trends and dynamics
Experience working to improve population health outcomes and on issues related to value-based care or the Social Determinants of Health
Robust network of senior level executives across the healthcare industry
Business to business sales experience with a strong track record of identifying and closing large opportunities
Relationship management experience working with large institutions at varying levels of seniority
Demonstrated comfort with public speaking/presentation and group facilitation and the ability to quickly synthesize data and make succinct, cogent arguments
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to collaborate effectively with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside the organization
Ability to commit to up to 30-40% domestic travel, with occasional evening meetings
Bachelor’s degree required, Graduate/Master’s a plus.
