This position will provide support for revenue cycle analytical support for financial positioning and future growth within Banner Health. This position assists in the development, analysis, and preparation of strategic Revenue Cycle metrics and reviews current operating results to achieve overall system and entity strategic goals and objectives.
Help clients define critical business reporting strategies by reviewing, analyzing and documenting business processes and user needs, and by developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining reports in various formats (flat, drillable, graphic, charts, dashboards, KPIs) drawn from inter and intra application data stores and made available through various methods. Transform ad hoc and manual processes into sustainable, repeatable, scalable, automated solutions.
Understand customer requirements and business objectives. Advise clients on data management and data governance best practices with a specific focus on health care claims and eligibility data.
Understand concepts of master data management including familiarity with databases, data architecture and data modeling concepts and methodologies. Develops complex multi-data source queries and reports using SQL.
Translate high-level design into specific implementation steps and use advanced Excel techniques to analyze data.
Requires a level of business and financial knowledge as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business, finance or Revenue Cycle analytics experience.
Requires a proficiency level typically attained with five plus years of experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with changing needs and deadlines. Requires excellent human relations skills and the ability to effectively interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels staff and outside professionals.
Must be proficient in the use of sophisticated software programs. Experience with SQL is required. Proven advanced, analytical and modeling skills are necessary. Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, ODBC or other direct connections to data warehouses, macros, conditional formatting, complex formulas.Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, BusinessObjects, or other comparable tools.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
