This position supports business development efforts that create alignment alternatives for healthcare providers within a defined market, and participates in the execution of strategies to engage employers and key consumer groups in these same markets, to increase the organizations market share in priority service lines and products. Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with targeted consumer groups including healthcare providers, employers and key consumer groups. Aids the business development team in supporting the organizations provider network, medical group, planning, and operations in addressing specific market needs and participating in efforts to meet the needs of independent healthcare provider networks, practice acquisition opportunities, and implementation of a medical staff development and other business development plans.
Supports business intelligence and alignment efforts of healthcare providers, healthcare provider practices, employers, consumer groups and other strategic partners through current and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Supports strategies and customer management processes to track and support the organizations sales and business development efforts.
Serves as a communication resource in the delivery and messaging to assigned internal and external stakeholders. Provides bi-directional communication regarding service lines, programs and available services.
Supports the development of alignment and outreach strategies to incorporate provider, business-to-consumer and business-to-business targets for growth of organizations market share.
Serves as support in the development of growth expectations and medical staff development plans, as well other areas of the continuum as opportunities are identified.
Supports business development participation in the recruitment process as needed.
Supports business development efforts between the organizations medical group and facilities in acquisitions, recruitment, and on-boarding.
Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare administration as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration or related field.
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare administration as normally demonstrated through five or more years of experience within the dynamics of healthcare, business development and relationship building with healthcare providers, employer and consumer groups or relevant experience. Needs working knowledge of provider practices and associated issues. Displays a working knowledge of planning, program development, and business development concepts along with ability to execute on these concepts.
Must function effectively in a team environment, collaborating with various levels of employees, community members, employers and healthcare providers. Requires skills in negotiation, conflict management, customer service, plan implementation and follow-through. Needs effective verbal and written communication skills to positively and professionally represent the organization in individual and group settings. Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well independently.
