The Social Work Services Manager works collaboratively with Center Managers and Directors of Operation to meet the social work needs of the centers and patients.
The Social Work Services Manager has the primary responsibility for overseeing the delivery of social work services and reviewing the competence of Social Workers employed by Satellite Healthcare. The Social Work Services Manager works collaboratively with Center Managers and Directors of Operation to meet the social work needs of the centers and patients. This Manager role supports recruiting, onboarding, orientation and training of new social work staff. This Manager role mentors and indirectly supervises the practice of the social workers in the centers. At the organizational level the Social Work Services Manager collaborates with other departments on enterprise initiatives or at the specific direction from the Executive Team.
Oversees social worker’s clinical responsibilities, including Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance, and adherence to policy and procedureCoordinates, oversees, and/or delivers training for new and existing social workers.
Collaborates on the development, revision, and updates for social work specific training materials
Collaborates with center management on employee matters including selection, onboarding and orientation of new social workers; provides guidance on goal setting and professional development and contributes feedback on employee performance
Supports coordination of coverage for social work responsibilities at the center lever for leaves, absences and vacancies; directly managing the per diem and float staff roster.
Communicates regularly with Director of Social Work, Team Lead Social Workers, Directors of Operation and center management, as appropriate
Responds to social worker requests for clinical/psychosocial consultation regarding patient and center based needs and issues
Assists in developing and implementing the use of effective tools for Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities at the center level; provides support and assistance to social workers with evaluation of outcomes and clinical performance measures
Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards
Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication
Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner

Minimum Education & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Social Work required from an accredited school of social work as recognized by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE)
Five (5) years of clinical social work experience in a nephrology setting
Two (2) years of supervisory, administrative, or large project management
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to create, organize and manage and training schedules
Ability to communicate information to appropriate team members and documents in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
Leadership in SHC and/or the extended nephrology community preferred
Development and maintenance of expertise in nephrology social work practice
Knowledge of specific areas of social work including mental health using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 5), the medical model of social work and cognitive behavioral theory and applications.
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum.
