Acts as the primary technical resource for the charge nurse and other staff members for the nursing unit. Transports patients and lab specimens as needed. Assists in stocking of supplies, entering patient information, orders and charges in the Order Communication System, and cleaning of ED equipment. Takes vital signs and helps put patients on monitors, draws blood, applies splints as directed and other patient care duties as assigned by the charge nurse.

Qualifications:

Experience:

1. Minimum of six months experience with EMS or six months patient care experience.

2. Actively enrolled in Nursing Program preferred.

Other Qualifications:

1. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support card.

2. Prefer Emergency Medical Technician certification or CNA.
