Under general supervision and according to department and DMC policies and procedures, assists in the daily management of the Central Sterile Processing department. Monitors staff productivity, reassigns staff as necessary to ensure department operates efficiently. Acts as a liaison between the Operating Rooms and CSP to ensure all OR cases are complete and delivered on time. Addresses OR problems as they relate to CSP. Works in conjunction with CSP management team members to continually improve services provided by the department. Responsible for providing consistent high quality customer service to all departments and personnel serviced by the CSP department. Works in conjunction with the department managers and director to complete and monitor the departmental budget. Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or the equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. 2. Two or more years of progressively more responsible experience in a Central Services department. Experience as a lead tech or equivalent preferred or comparable experience in supervision and instrument processing. 3. Certification through CBSPD or IAHCSMM required.
