Job Title: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Pediatric Neurology Location: Wilkes Barre, Pa Department: Pediatrics Schedule: Days, Monday – Friday Work Type: Full Time
Our Pediatrics Neurology department is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a team that will consist of 9 Physicians and 3 Advanced Practitioners along with Pediatric Neurosurgery, Neurophysiology, and the full compliment of pediatric specialties. Once fully trained, the successful candidate with see 15-18 patients per day. Education and or Experience: Physician Assistant: The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure. Nurse Practitioner: Degree of professional training to qualify as a nurse practitioner both professionally and legally to perform all services indicated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and licensure as described in the policy and procedure manual for utilization of nurse practitioners within the Geisinger System required. Licensed to care for patient population age group essential. Completion of an approved graduate program required. Completion of an approved PALS program required and ACLS preferred.
