| JOB TITLE: Clinic Nurse Flex LOCATION: Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center DEPARTMENT: Cardiovascular WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: FLEX JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Team/Clinic Coordinator/Physician/Operations Manager-Heart Hospital the Clinic Nurse provides primary nursing support to the physician and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patients condition. Provides patient education to enhance understanding of condition and compliance with treatment plan. Assists with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatments, and dressings. Acts as a liaison between patient and physician to meet the needs of the patient. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Health System. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current licensure in the state of Pennsylvania required. I.e.: Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Minimum of one-year clinic related experience preferred. Cardiology experience preferred. Must be BLS certified.
