A Patient Care Services Technician is responsible and accountable for the delivery of nursing supportive patient care and utilization of the nursing process related to patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. A Patient Care Services Technician is responsible and accountable for assisting the RN in the provision of patient care and tending to the personal care needs of the patient as directed by the RN, as well as functioning as a unit secretary. Unit Secretary duties include, but are not limited to, the transcription and data entry of physician orders, retrieving patient information, maintaining patients' data records, answering phones, taking and reporting messages, running errands, delivery and pick up of specimens and supplies, as well as ordering and restocking of unit supplies.

Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing

Previous LPN or Patient Care Technician experience preferred.

Current Florida LPN license; American Heart Association BLS certification. For Telemetry and higher acuity units, ACLS (AHA) and EKG are also required within 30 days of hire.
