JOB TITLE: Business Analyst, Lead LOCATION: Geisinger CenterPoint (Pittston), Columbia Mall (Bloomsburg), or Hughes Center (Danville) DEPARTMENT: IT Operations WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)
JOB SUMMARY:
Primary liaison between IT and the business community for IT initiatives. Works on the largest and most complex IT projects of varying size and scope including large enterprise wide projects. Works on multiple projects concurrently. Works to correctly understand and accurately document workflow, processes, business rules, data, systems, and other business information required for a clear picture of the business. Coordinates the development, documentation, analysis and review of business requirements. In conjunction with users, reengineers and redesigns a more effective and efficient business. Apply business rules, processes, workflow to the use of new or redesigned IT systems. Reports initiative progress, concerns and issues to business stakeholders, Project manager and IT Director. Works with minimal direction from team lead Project Manager, or IT Director. Responsible for mentoring and teaching less senior Business Analysts. On an ongoing basis evaluates and suggests improvements to GHS Business Analysis processes and procedures. Carries out regular training in Business Analysis for less senior Business Analysts.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates ability to successfully perform the Business Analyst function on multiple IT projects of varying size and scope including large (> 7,000 person hours) enterprise wide projects.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
