Demonstrates the ability to scrub for Cesarean Sections and other gynecological procedures, set up tables for vaginal deliveries, and manages temperature and specimen log books. Follows and maintains AORN standards regarding OR integrity. Demonstrates ability to use time efficiently by assisting nurses with delivery setup and cleanup; transporting patients; assisting Unit Secretary as needed; and carrying out tasks requested by charge nurse or management team. Responsible for stocking designated par levels in Labor Room, Recovery Room, Triage Unit and OR on a per shift basis, and effectively prioritizes own workload.
Required: Graduate of Surgical Technician Program.
BLS certification Good communication skills both verbally and written Fundamental Mathematics
2 years experience (OB Scrub) preferred
