Renders basic patient care to patients in the ED and assists the professional nurse. Takes and records vital signs, observes, reports and records patient condition. Obtains specimens and administers other treatments. Operates or assists in operating various mechanical devices. Meets physical comfort needs of patient. Reports emergencies and administer emergency treatment and performs other related duties as assigned. Appropriate care ofinstruments and equipment.
Required: Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician Program
Preferred: Emergency Medical Technician experience
Required: Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) or EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) certification. BLS.
