Role Description The Regulatory Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Regulatory Lead in the oversight of the regulatory compliance of clinical applications throughout the implementation process. Essential Functions: The Regulatory Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Regulatory Lead in the oversight of the regulatory compliance of clinical applications and clinical workflow compliance throughout the implementation process. The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for the following:
1) Regulatory Support Supporting the oversight of the regulatory compliance of clinical application design and build Tracking change controls to ensure regulatory compliance Working with the Regulatory Lead to support Physician and Nurse Champions to manage potential risk and develop compliance mitigation and adoption plans Supporting application teams to design and execute workflow plan, order sets, and cut-over plan to ensure compliance Supporting Integrated application workgroups to coordinate design, build, and cut-over in line with proposed compliance / regulations Supporting Testing Team to ensure test environments follow compliance / regulatory outlines Run reports on a regular basis as guided by the Regulatory Lead to ensure compliance of minimal requirements are met throughout the healthcare system. Attend educational sessions and keep knowledge base of all Federal, State and other regulatory body new rules, mandates to ensure RWJBH maintains compliant in all regulatory standards
2) Project Management: Escalating identified issues related to regulatory compliance to Regulatory Lead Logging, tracking, and coordination of system changes or change orders Developing progress status updates for project leadership Qualifications Education Preferred: Bachelor s degree in Health care, Information Technology, Business, Law or relevant experience Minimum: Associate s degree or three (3) years relevant experience Work Experience: Preferred: Three (3) years relevant experience in advanced application support Preferred: Experience with clinical compliance / regulations Minimum: One (1) year relevant experience in advanced application support
