As a Nurse Triage Specialist/Consultant, you are responsible for providing world-class customer service in helping our clients plan, develop and execute their nurse triage initiatives. You’ll project manage nurse triage implementations or optimizations by supporting the Patient Access Center (PAC) Executive Advisor in leading transitions from decentralized nurse triage units to centralized nurse triage.
Project manage virtual nurse triage implementations by supporting the PAC Executive Advisor in leading the transitions from decentralized nurse triage units to centralized nurse triage, including strategic planning, which could include but is not limited to:
Virtual contact center operations and staffing
Establishment of nurse clinical protocols
Nurse triage and care assistance processes (i.e. prescription refills and other care assistance requests)
Nurse triage quality reporting
Assist healthcare provider organizations to build, manage, and scale their virtual nurse triage contact centers
Participate in customized strategic planning, sales and marketing, legal and contracting, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery efforts for nurse triage initiatives, including virtual contact centers
Assist in the production of concise and compelling sales proposals based on an understanding of clients’ needs, future opportunities we’ve identified for them, and their goals
Produce high-quality, customized materials (toolkits, project plans, etc.) to assist clients in planning, managing, and executing nurse triage projects
Manage interdisciplinary teams comprised of members of multiple Solutions divisions
Be the go-to, on-the-ground person for wrangling a variety of viewpoints and stakeholders to move complex projects forward successfully
Bring in new business to Bluetree based on industry knowledge, research, and connections
3+ years of management experience, including management of complex nurse triage initiatives
Experience leading a nurse triage unit within a healthcare contact center (Director or Manager level)
The ability to quickly learn about the client organization: who key stakeholders are and how they interact and make decisions, and then use that information to execute quickly with high quality
Strong facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills
The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
Change management experience and knowledge of change management methodologies
Able and willing to travel 50-75% (specific travel will vary based on client needs, company events, etc.)
3+ years of nursing improvement experience, including experience assessing current technology, staffing, and workflows to provide process improvement suggestions
3+ years of experience with Epic’s nurse triage module and how best to leverage it in a virtual nurse triage contact center
Deep knowledge of transitioning from decentralized nurse triage (office, clinic or hospital) to centralized nurse triage
Experience utilizing Schmitt-Thompson
Extensive knowledge of nurse triage, including nurse triage protocols, quality reporting and management or process improvement experience in nurse triage operations
Experience with technology platforms including VOIP, call center software, quality monitoring software, real time voice analytics, auto-attendant software, and workforce optimization software
Epic/IT partnership and exposure – understanding the nuances of why a healthcare organization would want to use Epic and how the Epic suite works
Registered Nurse with significant clinical training and quality assurance experience
Knowledge of Epic’s clinical applications
Business process optimization experience
Program development and/or management experience
Sales experience, including writing concise and compelling sales proposals, managing RFP responses, and presenting to decision-makers and the C-suite
Exposure to governance planning and strategy
Will prioritize candidates that come from Epic organizations
