The Child Life Fellow is a student position that will be responsible for assessing, educating, preparing, and supporting patients and families in the health care system. The Child Life Fellow collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience. As a Child Life staff member, the Child Life Fellow will demonstrate a commitment to the values of Cook Children's Health Care System, integrating them into each job function: Integrity, Caring, Collaboration, Giving, Innovation.
Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development or a closely related field is required
Completion of a Child Life internship (minimum of 600 hours) is required
CPR – BLS is required within 30 days of employment
Current Certified Child Life Specialist or eligible to sit for the certification exam
