The Clinical Educator functions under the general supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer and is considered part of the nursing management team. The Clinical Educator assumes responsibility for all activities related to assessment, coordination, planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs to patient care staff and collaborates with others to provide facility-wide programs. The Clinical Educator supports the development of the bedside care provider and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced-based nursing practice and is instrumental in creating a professional nursing climate.
This position will also serve as infection prevention and employee health nurse and oversee these functions within the hospital in keeping with state and federal regulatory guidelines.
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse, issued by the State Board of Nursing.
Minimum of two (2) years of staff nursing.
Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required.
Qualified Infection Control Practitioner, Certification Board for Infection Control (CBIC), preferred.
