Nemours Children’s Health System is seeking a FULL-TIME Director of Materials Management to join the Nemours team in Orlando FL.
Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Materials Management, assures effective and efficient operations of Materials Management at the Florida sites to include but not limited to shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution, par level replenishment, mailroom, patient equipment & distribution and day to day materiel management operations.
Responsible fo the operation of demand flow, the Nemours supply distribution (Kanban) process.
Responsible for leading programs, such as advancing Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) throughout the department. Focusing on improving customer support and services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation
More than five years experience in leadership.
Manages, schedules and directs all activities in assigned areas.
Develops staffing programs and other resource needs (i.e. space and equipment etc). Coordinates needed requirements with system Administrative Director of Materials Management to accomplish department functions.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of quality control and preventive maintenance programs.
Responsible for employment of personnel, disciplinary action, evaluations and other Human Resources functions in assigned areas.
Works with other members of the Materials Management areas on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Materials Management Computer System, and its integration into the overall Foundation Information Network.
Works with Department Managers to assure appropriate inventory/par level of supplies are on hand in the departments and establishes distribution systems that meet the needs and goals of the departments and Materials Management.
Establishes, with input from Purchasing and Accounts Payable, policies and procedures related to operational areas as assigned..
Establishes, with assistance from Purchasing and the Materials Computer System, appropriate supply inventory levels for all storeroom/inventory items.
Responsible for the ethical conduct of him/herself and those he/she manages.
Participates in all Materials Management Committee and other committees as required or assigned.
Identifies areas of concern and resolves or recommends potential action or solutions in a clear and concise format.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the organizations goals, objectives, and policies.
Delegates appropriately, guiding, coaching and assisting staff in attaining expected levels of performance.
Demonstrates good working relationship and abilities while working with peers, supervisors, and subordinates. Maintains close coordination with Chief Administrative Officer, and Associate Administrator for Fincane, nemours Children's Hospital.
Administers all aspects of the Demand Flow supply distribution methodology.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
