ssists patients to obtain coverage for necessary medical expenses, screens patients for elgibility for Medicaid, Alternative Paying Solutions, Charity Care and ACA Echange coverage. Follows up with patients to complete applications. Will collect from patients on balances due and potentially establish payment arrangements . Reviews and approves or denies charity applications based on State guidelines.
Associates or Bachelors preferred, 5 years of Patient Financial Services or Financial Counseling experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of all State and Federal Assistance programs (NJ Family Care, Medicaid, Emergency Coverage), Auto/WC/Liability coverages and ACA exchange coverages. Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with Patients and Families
