The Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patient age groups (including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients). He / she is responsible for the preparation, dispensing and monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures. The Pharmacist will assume the supervisory role in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, Assistant Director or Pharmacy Supervisor to ensures that all medication orders are complete, appropriate and within legal parameters. The Pharmacist must exercise considerable independent decision making. The Pharmacist shall comply with all department and hospital policies and procedures.. Registration in New Jersey as a Pharmacist; current New Jersey licensure required. Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred with good interpersonal relationship skills. Familiarity with all phases of Hospital Pharmacy. Working knowledge of health care matters. Understanding of role of Pharmacy Department within the Hospital, its interrelationships with other departments and functions.
