We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to join our inpatient rehabilitation team.
Oversees the Division's business development and training activities aimed specifically within the IRF segment and is accountable for the business results there within. Direct day-to-day oversight of 11 Directors of Business Development, 65+ Clinical Liaisons, and 15+ admissions office personnel. Responsible for each hospital's daily strategy and marketing activities to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly volume and census goals. Collaborates with operations and finance counterparts to ensure maximum potential census volume in each building, in order to consistently hit quality and financial metrics. Collaborates with IRF clinical teams to rollout on-going educational trainings to the Directors of Business Development and Clinical Liaisons.
Continually evaluates market strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Directs the research and analysis of business opportunities for the division team. Sr. Director is completely accountable for the admission, revenue, and earnings outcomes of the IRF segment alongside operational/clinical counterparts.
Monitors daily volume, revenue, and expense actuals vs. budget.
Develops strategic marketing plans that are proactively re- tooled to stay ahead of the ever-changing post- acute environment.
Analyzes IRF KPIs and turns negative variances / deficiencies into action items.
Defines, measures and interprets internal sales reports, financial / volume pro formas, and raw data (CMS data for example) to turn opportunities into sales strategies.
Conducts volume forecasts and complete weekly projections.
Implements market specific action plans to right- side negative weekly or monthly projections.
Develops and delivers training modules to new and existing Clinical Liaisons.
Collaborates with the Kindred Marketing team in the development of marketing materials / collateral, social media content, and website development.
Monitors admissions office processes to ensure CMS compliance and accurate billing information.
Active member of the division team including participation in the IRF contracting, on-boarding, budgeting, mid- year, and MOR processes.

Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience.
10 years experience in marketing healthcare services and 5+ years experience in leading Clinical Liaison teams.
Skilled in marketing healthcare programs and products.
Ability to travel frequently.
Ability to be flexible in work hours.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Skilled in developing and presenting marketing and training materials.
Skilled in analytical evaluation.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding IRF operations and reimbursements.
Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce.
