Oversees and monitors Graduate Medical Education (GME) accreditation compliance. Functions as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) institutional review coordinator, and ensures compliance with Program Letters of Agreement. In collaboration with department leadership, ensures ACGME regulations, hospital, and institutional compliance including appropriate submission of status letters, progress reports, or other letters that maintain accreditation requirements. Functions as the ACGME site visit coordinator. . Develops internal review documentation and functions as a liaison with affected staff and site reviewer. Provides documentation review for ACGME RRC site visits. Schedules, assigns, and ensures appropriate Internal Review Committees including ACGME required members for each review for both WSU and WSU/DMC programs Coordinates internal audits/mock site visits of GME programs to ensure initial and continued accreditation compliance. Manages the development and maintenance of various databases to ensure overall compliance with accreditation standards and enrollment management support for GME programs. Responsible for Academic Support for the Office of GME. Provides overall administrative direction and support for the DIO, Director of GME, and manages the academic office of GME. Functions as the GME Council Coordinator and develops agendas, obtains relevant materials, ensures timely review of documentation, etc. Develops the Institutional Policy Manual including program manual template and compliance tracking. Coordinates the development and maintenance of the GME web-site.
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Administration or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Master's degree preferred. 2. Five years progressively more responsible experience in a health care system, hospital or other similar complex organization subject to intense external regulations, with at least three years of direct involvement with senior management and outside entities regarding compliance with external standards. 3. Experience in the use of personal computers.
