Title: Attending Physician, Internal Medicine --Department: Department of Medicine -Division of Internal Medicine --Reports To: Chair, Department of Medicine --Job Summary: --Physician shall provide direct, outpatient, primary care services at NBIMC and satellite centers. As a core faculty member in the Department of Medicine Residency Programs, physician shall interact, supervise, and teach medical residents. Services are to be executed in a manner that ensures the successful execution of the Systems outpatient quality and teaching goals. --Responsibilities: --1. Physician shall perform professional duties under this Agreement in accordance with currently approved methods and standards of the Internal Medicine Specialty and as applicable, the bylaws, rules, and regulations for the Medical Staff of the Hospital. -2. Medical care are shall be rendered in a compassionate, courteous, professional manner and in such a manner as to assure a positive public image and reinforce the level of professionalism which is expected by the Hospitals patients. -3. Physician shall interact with the Hospitals employees, medical staff, and patient/family members in a manner which reflects and reinforces the Hospitals basic values and mission (as embodied policies adopted by the Hospital from time to time) and its commitment to quality and service. -4. Physician shall provide a minimum of 35 hours per week of outpatient patient contract hours, consisting of at least one (1) evening shift per week and weekend rotation. -5. Physician may also be assigned hours at an offsite clinical venue with or without resident involvement. -6. Physician shall provide telephone on call coverage for outpatient services in accordance with the Hospitals policies and procedures and this Agreement, which shall be in addition to the responsibilities performed during the above references hours. -7.
