This position has primary responsibility supporting the desktop and mobile computing environments and other end user equipment on the company network. The position is responsible for interfacing with team members within the department, as well as, customers throughout the facility in planning, organizing and conducting various project assignments and daily duties.
Provides customer support at a facility level on all desktop and mobile computers and office productivity software products. Consults with customers, installs computer equipment and troubleshoots day to day applications/hardware problems
Provides onsite analysis and support for all network application services that fall under the categories of email, personal productivity tools, workgroup and collaboration products on desktop hardware platforms. Provides escalation support and serves as a local IT resource
Assists with the implementation of new automated application systems in the area of office automation
Performs basic desktop software installation support and network administration functions (adding, deleting printers, checking network connectivity
Assists in needs assessment recommendations thought the appropriate investigation of specific customer and departmental computing needs.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Requires communication, and presentation skills to engage non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate, and interact across facilities and at various levels. . As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
Must be knowledgeable and technically adept in the use and operation of a wide range of desktop and mobile computers and their associated operating systems. Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of desktop and network technologies.
Associate degree or combination of education and relevant work experience may be substituted. General knowledge of healthcare is desirable.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
