Job Title: Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Coordinates CRNA activities at an assigned campus to act as a direct liaison for the Chief CRNA for CRNA and operational support. Maintains a direct line of communication with the Chief CRNA or appropriate Coordinator regarding equipment, anesthesia tech, or personnel issues.
Directly accountable to the Chief CRNA and works in collaboration with the Medical Director and Ops Manager at their designated campus to support clinical operations and staffing models.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1.) *Creation and maintenance of the CRNA staffing schedule in accordance with block time allocations. Review of daily/weekly staffing needs and make appropriate adjustments.
2.) *Orientation of new staff.
3.) *Acts as resource for equipment issues and reports concerns to Equipment Coordinator.
4.) Membership in the campus governing body (ex. Surgical Suite Governance Board or Operations Committee) in order to most effectively work in collaboration with the Medical Director on operational matters.
5.) *Act as a resource for personnel issues.
6.) *Oversees performance improvement data collection and activities.
7.) Assists with preparation for DOH and Joint Commission visits.
8.) Acts as designated point-person to represent the campus for system initiatives and discussions.
9.) *Reports concerns regarding any of the above to the Chief CRNA or appropriate Coordinator, and initiates problem solving measures to deal with the issues.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates competent clinical skills as a CRNA.
Demonstrates organizational skills, interpersonal leadership and management skills
Demonstrates PC skills to support job performance
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Current certification/re-certification as a CRNA required
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in PA required
Minimum of one-year experience providing clinical care at the campus for which the person would be leading
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must work a minimum of 4 days per week, with the acknowledgement that their responsibilities persist even when not working on their campus of responsibility.
