We are seeking an experienced CNA for a PRN position on a busy acute care unit.
Will be scheduled As Needed including weekend shifts.
**1 Year of Hospital CNA experience is required for this position.**
Under the supervision of Area Manager, performs various patient care activities and related non-professional service. Cares for the personal needs and comfort of the patients as directed by the nurse.
Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision.
Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:Candidates with 12 or more months of Hospital experience will be given priority consideration.
Licensure/Certification(s): Current CNA license issued by the state of TN. American Heart Association issued BLS required. CPI to be obtained during Hospital Orientation.
