The ECT - Registered Nurse is a proficient nursing leader and integral member of the multidisciplinary team who has developed expertise in an expanded RN role within a specific unit/shift setting, to include Electroconvulsive Therapy. The ECT Nurse is responsible for the routine functioning of the unit on his/her assigned shift, and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge in the ECT program. The ECT Nurse is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the missions of the hospital as well as local state and federal regulations.
