This position is 50% direct clinical service and 50% administrative oversight, teaching multidisciplinary trainees in medicine, nursing, psychology, nutrition, and social work, and supervision of social work interns and Fellows through the MCHB funded Leadership Education in Adolescent Health training program. The successful candidate is also eligible for an academic Lecturer, Part-time appointment.
This Senior Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:
Oversight of mental health team; planning and provision of advanced clinical services, supervision of clinical social work staff and case managers, and monitoring and evaluating services/programs/websites through the QI process.
Taking initiative in identifying service gaps and leading improvement efforts; development and implementation of systems, evidence-based treatment methods and program changes as needed; teaching, training and consultation to the multidisciplinary staff.
Selection, onboarding, and supervision of a one year (post masters) Social Work Fellow.
Demonstrating expert clinical social work practice, initiative and creativity; advanced ability to take major responsibility on a team demonstrating leadership and expert ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary colleagues.
To qualify, you must have:
A Master's degree in Social Work, LICSW in the State of MA.
Expert clinical social work practice and leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary colleagues, delivering integrated behavioral care in a medical practice.
A commitment to training the next generation of child health leaders.
Flexibility and the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
