JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: To maintain standard of food preparation and service set by the Dietitian and Dietary Supervisor. To supervise and participate in all food production activities for patient and employee meals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include, but are not limited to:
PREPARE or supervise preparation of all food for all meals for patients, staff and special functions.
2. USES recipes, adjusts quantities depending on census. Utilizes all food.
< > menus and recipes for therapeutic diets using diet manual.
< > effectively with other department employees, other hospital staff and general public.
COOPERATES with consulting supervisor of food service, dietitian and cooks.
< > required meetings and in-service programs.-Establishes appropriate priorities for timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Completes all work assignments within the expected time frame.
Consistently responds positively and cooperatively to changing work environment, work demands, and pressure.
Regularly seeks and does additional tasks when normal work pressure decreases.
Identifies problems proactively and offers constructive suggestions for corrective action on a regular basis.
