This position coordinates and ensures the operational integrity of the designated clinical program within Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Services in collaboration with the department Managers/Director. Provides team leadership and management of daily clinical assignments in the designated area including performance management. Facilitates ongoing development and retention of qualified clinical staff. Responsible for participation in Quality Improvement activities, identifying opportunities to improve services and assure patient safety, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate. Assists with the implementation of strategic planning initiatives.
This position will have both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Provides evaluation, treatment and consultation independently to patients within the designated clinical discipline/program and demonstrates clinical proficiency in direct patient care.
Must have 5 years experience as a clinician providing Therapy Services (OT, PT, Speech)
Pediatric experience preferred
Member of Professional Specialty organization preferred
Manages daily patient and associate schedules
Approves and coordinates time off requests
Promotes a positive work attitude within the department
Provides regular feedback to clinical staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Responsible for completion of annual performance evaluations
Responsible for facilitating a collaborative and supportive relationshipbetween programs within the department for smooth patient flow and patient satisfaction.
Responsible for hiring process of direct reports
Works with Program Manager or Program Director to respond to patient and family concerns/complaints
Participates in Continuous Improvement
Identifies the need for additional education an training
Participates in daily management huddles of assigned programs and locations as appropriate.
Provides budgetary input to the program manager
Maintains current knowledge of all applicable licensing, regulatory and accreditation standards, and assures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
