We are excited to announce the continued expansion of the Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Our Division is experiencing rapid growth across many areas and we are extremely pleased to announce a new full-time position for a Pediatric Neuropsychologist.
This position will be located at Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware in the Division of Behavioral Health, which includes forty psychologists, five neuropsychologists, three psychiatrists, an APA-approved Internship program and a postdoctoral fellowship training program. The hospital offers intensive and acute inpatient and outpatient services covering more than 30 pediatric specialties. Nemours recently completed a multi-phase hospital expansion, which included new inpatient rooms, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. The hospital is located in a suburban setting, a half hour from Philadelphia and two hours from the mountains and beaches. Academic appointment through Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University is strongly encouraged and supported.
As a member of our growing team, the neuropsychologist will be responsible for the neuropsychological assessments of children, adolescents and young adults ages 3 to 21years. The position includes collaboration with a range of medical specialists and multi-disciplinary teams including coordination with pediatric therapy providers. Both consultation and liaison, as well as team participation, are valued service models. Areas of specialty may include epilepsy, genetic/metabolic disorders, autism, transplant, cardiac, rehab, and wide a variety of acquired brain disorders. While our search will be open to all qualified pediatric neuropsychologists, experience working with children with concussion/mTBI and experience with outpatient and pre-surgical evaluations of children with epilepsy is preferred.
Required qualifications include:
· A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA or CPA accredited clinical psychology program
· APA or CPA accredited internship training
· Postdoctoral specialty training in clinical neuropsychology, in accordance with Houston Conference guidelines
· Licensure or license eligibility in the States of Delaware
· Candidates should be board certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology with the expectation that subspecialty certification in pediatric neuropsychology through ABPP will be completed.
Preference will be given to candidates who have training consistent with the Houston Conference guidelines or meet neuropsychology training guidelines accepted by INS, NAN and Division 40 of APA.
