Emergency Room Technician
The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for assuring all oxygen tanks are full and available on each gurney, stocks all rooms with appropriate bedside supplies and linens. Transports patients to ancillary departments as needed. Responsibilities include, assisting RN and physicians/PAs with assessments, examinations, and treatments as directed.Â Assists the unit clerk with clerical duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor. Provides telephone services, including answering and directing calls, giving information, placing pages to physicians, overhead paging of safety codes, and returning calls. Notifies ancillary departments of need for patient services in a timely and appropriate manner
