The Temecula Valley Registered Nurse on Med Surg 5 is responsible for performing daily rounding on patients. Providing care that is respectful and responsive to the patientâ€™s values in clinical decision making. Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment. Supports and informs the patient and family of hospital specific components of the Patient Centered Care Delivery model. Supports open family visitation, family presence during resuscitation and other invasive procedures and promotes a quiet environment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and function effectively with high volumes of patients.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must demonstrate good computer skills.
Solid understanding of English, grammar, and punctuation.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, BSA, circumference and volume.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
